Training
Horizons UK courses are pacy, lively and with a 'hands on' approach. The courses give the participants the opportunity to try out the many ideas which they can then use to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Tailored to meet the needs of the school, they can be delivered to teachers, support staff and parents in the comfort of their school.
Resources
Horizons UK has a range of resources to improve teaching and learning.
Interview Coaching Service
Horizons UK offers 1:1 support for teachers applying for posts in education, including help with letter writing, CV and interview technique.
Customers
125 schools across Lancashire, Learning and Skills Council, Aim Higher, Connexions, The Princes Trust, Lancashire Education Business Partnership, Elevate, Lancashire & Cumbria Enterprise Advisory Service.
Sue Garnett
Sue began her career in education more than thirty years ago as a primary school teacher and then a Head teacher. While Sue was a Head teacher, she began writing education books and leading courses for teachers. Sue set up Horizons UK with the aim to provide high quality training courses and resources for teachers. She delivers courses to schools across Lancashire and she writes education books (see examples below). Last year she won the 'Creativity Award' Lancashire prize for her book 'Chemo Gang saves the day'. At the moment Sue is working on her latest children's fantasy novel and a new enterprise challenge for the Autumn term.
